LOCATION: 9100 block of 6th Avenue, Hesperia
VICTIMS: Deputy Sheriff’s assigned to Hesperia Station
SUSPECT: Romik Sargsyan, 35 years old, resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 5:59 p.m. deputies assigned to the Hesperia Station Gang Team attempted to serve a search warrant at the 6th Avenue residence related to a narcotics investigation. Deputies entered the home and observed Romik Sargsyan standing in the doorway of a bedroom. Sargsyan produced a handgun, at which time a deputy involved shooting occurred. Sargsyan was injured and medical personnel transported him to the hospital for treatment.
Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division responded to conduct the investigation. Detectives located a handgun in the doorway of the bedroom and a shotgun in the bedroom. Additionally, a large marijuana grow operation was found in the garage.
