SNOWSTORM WARNING/ STATE OF EMERGENCY

A WINTER WEATHER SNOWSTORM WARNING AND STATE OF EMERGENCY IS IN EFFECT FOR SADDLE BROOK FROM 7PM SUNDAY, JAN. 31st THROUGH MONDAY FEB. 1st
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE UP TO 10 INCHES OR MORE. SNOWFALL RATES OF 1-2 INCHES PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE WITH VISIBILITY REDUCED DURING THE PEAK SNOWFALL HOURS.
SADDLE BROOK TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS ARE REMINDED THAT ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REMOVED FROM TOWNSHIP ROADWAYS FOR DPW PLOWING AND REMAIN OFF THE ROAD UNTIL THE ROADS ARE SUFFICIENTLY CLEANED OF THE SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION.
VEHICLES PARKED ON ROADS DURING SNOWFALL ARE SUBJECT TO TICKETS AND FINES AS PER TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE.
Temperatures will be in the upper 20’s Sunday night, around 30 degrees during the day on Monday, in the upper 20’s Sunday night, and will gradually rise into the mid 30’s on Tuesday. Winds will be 20 - 25 MPH with gusts up to 40 MPH. Gusty winds will cause blowing and drifting snow. The combination of snow and wind may cause downed trees and power lines.
