Crescenta Valley Station Steps Up Traffic Enforcement on Angeles Crest Highway
This last weekend, Crescenta Valley Station deployed extra resources to enforce vehicle code violations on Angeles Crest Highway in La Cañada Flintridge. The purpose of the increased enforcement was to address complaints of vehicles speeding and ensure the safety of the public.
Over the weekend, 36 citations were written. 26 of the citations were for speeding. Several of the speeding tickets were for drivers going over 70 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. One driver was cited for doing 80! 10 other citations were issued for drivers not using a hands free device.
Crescenta Valley Station will continue to deploy extra Deputies on Angeles Crest Highway for the foreseeable future. Our station would like to remind the public that the speed limit on Angeles Crest Highway in La Cañada Flintridge is 45 miles per hour. We also want to remind everyone to put down the cell phone, or use a hands free device.
