Full Notification

If you received your 1st dose of the COVID vaccination at the Rutherford Health Department, then you received a Vaccination Record Card. On the back of the card is the date for your 2nd dose appointment. Your appointment time for your 2nd dose is the same time as your 1st appointment. We know that the state is currently sending out notifications to let you know when you are eligible for your 2nd dose. This is NOT your appointment date. This is simply letting you know when 21 days (Pfizer) or 28 days (Moderna) has passed. You can only get your 2nd dose based on the appointment time given to you by the Rutherford Health Department because they only do 2nd doses, of certain vaccines, on certain dates. If you come on a different date than what is on the back of your card, you will NOT be able to get you 2nd dose at that time. You will have to wait until the date on the back of your card. We recognize the state notifications are confusing a lot of people and we hope this has helped clarify some confusion. Furthermore, you must get your 2nd dose at the same location you got your 1st dose because that is where the state is sending your allocation for the 2nd dose.
