Reward Offered In Murder Investigation
On May 29, 2020, MHPD responded to the top of the Butterfield Boulevard overpass in Morgan Hill on reports of a shooting. The victim, Michael Duran, was shot and killed while driving on the overpass with a passenger. The Morgan Hill Police Department is actively investigating all leads at this time and is requesting additional information from the community. Working hand in hand with Mothers Against Murder (www.mothersagainstmurder.org), a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization based in Los Altos, a $5,000 reward has been offered with the Morgan Hill Police Department for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for the homicide.

The reward will be given to the person providing significant information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. If more than one person provides such information, the reward will be divided amongst them but in no event shall the total reward or rewards exceed $5,000. The determination of whether information provided by any person or persons is significant information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons responsible and the determination of the amount of any particular award in the event of multiple eligible receipts, shall reside in the reasonable discretion of the Police Chief for the City of Morgan Hill whose decision shall be final.
