Winter Weather Alert
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the area, beginning at 1 p.m. today – Thursday, February 4 – and ending at noon tomorrow – Friday, February 5.
A winter storm bringing up to 5 inches of heavy, wet snow is forecasted to begin Thursday afternoon and end Friday afternoon. The strong winds could cause low visibility for our area as the blowing snow is expected with 40 plus mph winds. This storm will affect the commutes on Thursday evening and Friday morning. Followed by extremely cold temperatures leading to icy road conditions.
The Sugar Grove Snow Team will have continuous operations on all snow routes during the storm, focusing on primary roadways and major thoroughfares. Be patient with the process.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
• Limit driving during the snow warning period
• If you must drive, reduce speed and be extra cautious around other drivers
