Narrative:   
On 2/5/21, detectives from the Sheriff’s Gang Unit assisted the Lockwood Valley Sheriff‘s Station with a search warrant service at a residence in the 3000 block of Castle Creek Road in Maricopa for evidence of illegal firearm activity. 
 
Charles Andre Scholz and Teha Ann Britt lived at the residence and were convicted felons which prohibited them from possessing firearms or ammunition. During the warrant service, investigators located a total of 17 firearms including, 3 semi-automatic pistols, 3 revolvers, 7 rifles, and 4 shotguns.  Several of the firearms were loaded with ammunition.  Investigators located hundreds of rounds of ammunition from various caliber firearms including but not limited to .22, .223, .270, 9mm, .45 ACP, .50 caliber, 20, 16, and 12-gauge shotgun ammunition.
 
Charles Scholz and Teha Britt were arrested for numerous offenses including violations of Penal Code (PC) 29800(a)(1) - felon in possession of firearms and PC 30305(a)(1) - felon in possession of ammunition. Gail Britt also resided at the residence. Gail failed to comply with the search warrant and obstructed the investigation.  Gail was initially arrested for PC 148(a)(1) - resist, obstruct, delay peace officers. After additional investigation, Gail was also arrested for PC 27500(a) - knowingly providing firearms to convicted felons in addition to other firearms related charges.
Charles Scholz, Teha Britt, and Gail Britt were booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Ventura with their bail set as follows: Scholz’ bail was set at $50,000, Teha’s bail was set $60,000, and Gail’s bail was set at $10,000.
