SUBJECT: Disabled vehicle leads to narcotics arrest

LOCATION: Hwy 35 Ocean Twp.
NARRATIVE: On February 7th at approximately 10:33pm, Officer Schulhafer was traveling on Hwy 35 when he noticed a vehicle had run off the road and become disabled in a snowbank. The driver, Patrick Caprara, was not injured in the crash, but the vehicle was unable to be dislodged from the snowbank. While waiting for a tow truck to remove the vehicle from the snowbank, Officer Schulhafer noticed a bag of cocaine hanging out from the driver’s pocket. Mr Caprara was placed under arrest, processed and released on a criminal summons pending a future court date.
