As promised, Crescenta Valley Station continued the extra patrols of Angeles Crest Highway in order to address complaints of speeding and reckless driving. The Angeles National Forest Law Enforcement also increased patrols on Angeles Crest Highway. Together, numerous citations were issued for a variety of offenses. They are as follows:

• 33 citations for speeding. Three of the citations were for speeds in excess of 70 miles per hours in a 45 mile per hour zone.
• 13 citations for equipment violations
• 1 citation for not using a hands free device
• 5 citations for crossing double yellow lines
• 2 citations for unlicensed driver
• 5 citations for reckless driving
• 4 other Vehicle Code infractions
• 1 citation for operating a business without a permit
• 4 citations for open container of marijuana
• 35 parking citations for blocking the highway
• 4 dispersed street racers
• 3 public assists of stranded motorists

The Deputies of Crescenta Valley Station and Officers of the U.S. Forestry Service remain committed to ensuring the safety of the public on Angeles Crest Highway and the Angeles National Forest. Our departments want to remind drivers to obey the speed limit, only pass in designated areas, obey all parking regulations, and keep the racing at the tracks.
