Snow Emergency Cancelled
The snow emergency for the City of Oxford has been cancelled. Continue to use caution as the roadways may have icy spots. Parking is now permitted on snow routes and can return to normal.
We appreciate those who did move their vehicles off the streets along the snow route. You helped make the snowplow operators’ jobs easier. Over 200 parking citations were issued today to those who did not move their cars. We expect another snow event this week and we hope for better compliance next time. Please plan ahead.
OPD sends out email and text alerts via Nixle when it declares a snow emergency or when snow/ice accumulation is 3 inches or greater. Register for this service to help avoid a citation and/or impounded vehicle. You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to receive information.
