Ruse Burglary Attempt: 6800 blk Fieldstone. Silver Chevy Pickup. Male wearing safety vest. See attached. 
At approximately 4:10 pm, a male subject attempted a Ruse Burglary in the 6800 blk of Fieldstone Drive. He was wearing all black clothing with an orange safety vest with a black bandana mask. He told the resident he was from the "Association" and attempted to enter the home. He fled the scene when the resident called 9-1-1.
The offender left in a silver Chevrolet Colorado with tinted windows. The license plate was covered. The vehicle was captured on subdivision surveillance (pictures attached). The vehicle was last seen south bound County Line Road towards I-55.
If you see this vehicle in the area, immediately call 9-1-1 and report the suspicious vehicle by giving your location, a description of the vehicle and its occupants, and a direction of travel. DO NOT attempt to confront these subjects.

- Do not leave your doors unlocked. Arm your security system, even if leaving for only a short time.
- Be aware of any suspicious vehicles parked in your, or your neighbors’, driveway.
- Do not make agreements with door to door salesmen. Approved solicitors will have a Village issued identification card. Anyone without this card is soliciting without a permit.
- Keep your valuables in a safe, inconspicuous place in your residence.
- Keep receipts, and take pictures of all your valuables.
- Consider installing security cameras in and around your home, including doorbell cameras.
- Never give any personal information over the phone (social security numbers, bank account information, credit card numbers, etc.)
- Immediately call 9-1-1 if you observe any suspicious or criminal activity.
