Advisory

Winter Storm Watch in effect for the Oxford area Sunday evening through Tuesday afternoon

National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH
TUESDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8
inches. Some sleet and freezing rain may mix in with the snow
across South Central Ohio and Northeast Kentucky.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Oxford has designated snow emergency routes. These are streets where vehicles are not permitted to park when there is an accumulation of 3 or more inches of snow/ice or when ANY level of snow emergency is declared.

Plan ahead and pay attention to the forecast. Move your vehicle BEFORE the snow comes and before we start citing vehicles. If we get a significant snowfall, on top of the crusty, icy snow that remains along our snow routes from earlier this week, we will begin TOWING vehicles that remain on those streets.
