Winter Storm Warning until 12:00AM Tuesday

...A Major Winter Storm is Expected to Impact the Mid-South Sunday Afternoon through Monday Evening... .A potent upper level trough will move into the Mid-South Sunday Afternoon into Monday. With cold temperatures already in place, winter precipitation is expected to fall across the entire Mid- South. Light wintry precipitation will begin to move in as early as the morning hours on Sunday. Impacts will be minimal through midday. During the afternoon hours, heavier precipitation will spread into the area continuing into the evening. A brief lull will then occur before a second round of heavier precipitation moves in on Monday.

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations of 3 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi and West Tennessee.

* WHEN...From noon Sunday to midnight CST Monday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
