Decision Support Briefing As of: 2:30 PM Sun Feb 14th 2021 National Weather Service in Wilmington has advised us of some updates surrounding the inbound winter storm for all 52 Counties. What Has Changed? ✔ Entire Area Now Under Winter Storm Warning ✔ Ice Threat Slightly Increased A significant winter storm will affect the region, ending Tuesday morning. * First wave of snow: 10PM Sunday through 12PM Monday. 1"-3" snow with impacts to the morning commute. * Heavier snow expected from 3PM Monday through 8AM Tuesday. An additional 4"-8" snow expected. * Storm total snow: 6"-11" with localized higher amounts, particularly in NW Ohio. Lower snow amounts in SE Ohio. * Freezing rain will lead to ice accumulations in SE Ohio / NE Kentucky on Monday. * North to northeast wind gusting to 25-30 MPH will be possible Monday into Monday night, with drifting snow on roads with a west-east or northwest-southeast orientation. * Travel will be very difficult, especially Monday night into Tuesday morning. * Wind chills on Mon-Tue-Wed morning will be in the single digits to below zero. * Confidence is high that a winter storm will occur. * Confidence in snowfall amounts is medium. * Confidence in ice amounts is low.
