Dearborn declares Snow Emergency effective at 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2021
Parked vehicles must be off the streets or be ticketed;
Sirens will sound at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Feb. 15; again at 7 a.m. Feb. 16
DEARBORN, Mich. – The City of Dearborn has declared a snow emergency effective at 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2021.
As of 10 p.m. Feb. 15, all parked vehicles must be removed from Dearborn streets to allow for safe and efficient snowplowing. Parked vehicles will be ticketed. Tickets are $80.
Outdoor sirens will sound at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Feb. 15, announcing the snow emergency. They will sound again as a reminder at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Residents are advised to remove their parked vehicles from the streets as early as they can on Monday, Feb. 15, as DPW crews will begin tending to the roads prior to the snow emergency.
Alternate parking areas are available for residents who do not have driveways. A list of streets and parks where vehicles can be temporarily moved during a snow emergency can be found at: https://cityofdearborn.org/services/public-works/snow-removal
