WINTER STORM WARNING
SITUATION:
The Grundy County EOC just concluded a conference call and is passing along that the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect for Grundy County until 9am Tuesday.
Grundy County should see snow to begin between 4pm-5pm. Peak snowfall is forecast to be between 5pm to midnight, during the peak snowfall, travel will be dangerous due to immediate accumulation on roadways during these cold temperatures; visibility will be diminished by blowing snow. Winds will be from the North - Northwest. Snowfall will be light and fluffy.
Snowfall could amount to 4-7 inches of accumulation
OUTLOOK:
This is a complex weather system across our region combined with lake effect snow to our northeast. Local personnel are advised to make any needed preparations, monitor weather forecasts and keep advised of rapidly changing conditions for the next 24 hours. Grundy County Emergency Management Agency will continue to monitor this developing situation.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
