Van Buren Twp. Declares a Snow Emergency Effective Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 12:00 am through Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
SNOW EMERGENCY
Van Buren Township Public Safety has declared a Snow Emergency. Please remove parked vehicles from roadways for snow removal and access for emergency vehicles. We are asking for your voluntary compliance, and failing to do so may result in your vehicle being towed for being a hazard.
The snow emergency will be in effect beginning Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 12:00 am and continue until Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
In accordance with Public Act 104 of the Acts of 1981, during a declared Snow Emergency parking of motorized vehicles on any street is prohibited to allow for proper plowing and salting of roadways. This order also provides for ease of access for emergency vehicles responding to calls for service, as well as minimizes the potential for motor vehicle accidents throughout the township due to snow and adverse conditions.
