Winter Storm Warning until 06:00PM Thursday

...Another significant winter storm will affect the Mid-South late tonight through Thursday... .Another significant winter storm will begin to affect the Mid- South as early as late tonight with snow across Northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel. Significant snow, sleet, and freezing rain accumulations will spread across most of the Mid-South Wednesday and Thursday. Any accumulations on top of the snow and sleet already on the ground will exacerbate travel problems across the Mid-South.

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of around three tenths of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast and northwest Mississippi, western Tennessee and eastern Arkansas.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
