On 2/13/21, around 7:58 PM, an unhoused community member was walking south on Huntwood Ave. near Zeypher Ave. She was in-between two lanes. A witness saw her in the roadway, slowed and began flashing his high-beams. A light colored 2005 Ford Explorer drove past the witness and struck the woman, killing her. The witness stopped and blocked traffic, but the suspect vehicle drove around the woman in the street and fled towards Whipple Rd. A front license plate holder and grille debris were found at the scene. This car will have front end damage and possible windshield damage.
