Greenwood PD has an important message for the community!
Please, stay off the area roadways. Frozen precipitation is falling and we suspect that will make the roads slicker than they were yesterday. Officers spent most of yesterday assisting motorists with stalled vehicles, jackknifed 18 wheelers, vehicles (of all sizes and shapes) in the ditches and the medians. ALSO, REMEMBER LADOTD will not be trying to improve these roadway conditions, except on the interstate highways.
Got to go, so we can go deal with a car in the ditch along Greenwood-Mooringsport Rd and I-20.
Stay warm and in place.
