Crime Blotter for the Week of February 7-13, 2021

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of February 07, 2021– February 13, 2021.

February 09, 2021
  • Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported their vehicle catalytic converter was stolen near the 3400 Block of Markwood Street. The theft occurred on 02-09-21 at approximately 4:00 am. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 1999 Winnebago Minnie. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $1,000
 
February 10, 2021
  • Burglary (Business):
An informant reported a theft at 1600 Mountain Avenue (Walmart). Loss prevention reviewing store surveillance video and saw a dark-colored truck back into an attached brick enclosure and stole approximately 105 used vehicle batteries.The incident occurred on 02-09-21 at 9:55 pm. Surveillance video captured the incident. The estimated loss was $1,575.
  • Sexual Assault:
A victim reported a sexual assault to San Francisco Police Department. The victim advised she was sexually assaulted by an unknown male adult she randomly accepted a ride from. After the assault, the victim accepted a ride by the suspect to the airport and flew to San Francisco, where she reported the incident. Special Victim Detectives are investigating the incident.
 
February 11, 2021
  • Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported their vehicle catalytic converter was stolen near the 1000 Block of Highland Avenue. The theft occurred between 02-10-21, 11:00 pm, and 02-11-21, 2:30 pm. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2002 Honda CRV. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $2,500.
  • Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported their vehicle catalytic converter was stolen near the 1300 Block of Mandarin Lane. The theft occurred between 02-08-21, 7:00 pm and 02-11-21, 12:30 pm. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2000 Ford F150. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $2,000.
  • Petty Theft (Unlocked Vehicle):
An informant reported a theft at 1856 Block of Huntington Drive (Cabrera’s Mexican Restaurant). On 02-09-21 at 12:51 am, the manager reviewed the surveillance video and noticed a male adult driving a white Ford Raptor truck walk to front patio and steal two table umbrellas and four patio heaters. The suspect drove southbound Santo Domingo Avenue and out of view. Surveillance video captured the incident. The estimated loss was $900.
  • Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported their vehicle catalytic converter was cut by an unknown person near the 1600 Block of Brycedale Avenue. The attempted theft occurred on 02-11-21 at 2:10 am. Suspects attempted to steal the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2005 Honda Element. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video.
  • Petty Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported their vehicle catalytic converter was stolen near the 2600 Block of Bloomdale Street. The theft occurred between 02-10-21, 4:00 pm, and 02-11-21, 10:00 am. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2001 Honda CRV. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $450.
  • Petty Theft (Unlocked Vehicle):
A victim reported a theft near the 2200 Block of Huntington Drive. At approximately 9:00 am, the victim left her vehicle unlocked when she walked into a store. When the victim walked out of the store, she saw a male adult sitting in her vehicle’s seat.When the suspect saw the victim, he ran from her car and drove away in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer. The suspect stole a black Volkswagen key and a garage door opener. The victim took a picture of the suspect’s vehicle as he drove away. The estimated loss was $650.
 
February 12, 2021
  • Grand Theft Auto:
A victim reported their vehicle stolen near the 1300 Block of Huntington Drive. The victim’s Kawasaki C900 was stolen on 02-12-21 between 12:00 pm, and 10:00 am. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The vehicle is still outstanding.
  • Robbery (Firearm):
A victim reported he was robbed on the corner of Citrusview Avenue and Joella Street. On 02-11-21 at approximately 10:00 pm, the victim was waiting for uncertified marijuana delivery when the suspect he meet on “Snap Chat” pulled up to him and told the victim, “Give me your money, or I will shoot you in the legs.” The victim believing the suspect had a gun (no weapon was seen), gave his wallet to the suspect. The suspect drove westbound Joella Street in a gray Honda Accord and out of view. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $140.
