Winter Storm Warning until 07:00AM Friday

...Significant Mix of Wintry Precipitation Expected... .A low pressure system will bring winter precipitation across the Mid Atlantic today and tonight. Significant amounts of snow, sleet, and freezing rain are expected. The precipitation will change over to freezing rain for most locations this morning. Colder air could change the precipitation back to a mix of snow and sleet tonight.

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Virginia and southeast West Virginia.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the heavy wet snow and ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commute today and the morning commute on Friday.
