Port Vue residents are reminded NOT to deposit snow on to the roadways after a snow event. This is a violation of a Borough Ordinance. If reported or observed you will be subject to a citation for the violation. Our Public Works department have been working endlessly this winter to keep our roadways safe and clear from ice and snow, so this activity of throwing snow out into the streets does NOT help their efforts and creates additional traffic hazards.
This is now the second request for Borough residents & visitors to utilize OFF STREET parking during forecasted snow events. Public Works are having difficulties maintaining roadways for salting & plowing due to the fact residents that have driveways are NOT using them. Please assist the Borough Public Works department & Police Department in this request. Please stay safe on the roadways during these difficult & challenging driving situations.
