Deputies arrested Georel Perez for inflicting corporal injury to spouse/cohabitant and false imprisonment

LOCATION: 9300 Block of 8th Street
SUSPECT: Georel Perez, 38-years-old of Rancho Cucamonga
Summary:
On Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at about 10:45 a.m. deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived at the location, the suspect, identified as Georel Perez, was no longer there.
Through investigation, deputies learned the victim and Perez had been arguing when the victim stepped outside and attempted to call police. Perez grabbed the victim by her hair, dragged her back inside the house and would not allow her to leave or call police. Perez held her down while striking her and then fled the location.
At about 2 p.m., deputies returned to the home for follow-up when they found Perez hiding in a bedroom. Perez was arrested and booked in at the West Valley Detention Center where he remains in custody on $50,000 bail.
