Deputy Strand arrested Jesse Soto for several firearm violations, poss of narcotics and felony probation violation

INCIDENT: PC 29800(a)(1) - Felon in Possession of Firearm, PC 25850(c)(2) - Possession of loaded stolen firearm, HS 11370.1 - Possession of loaded firearm with narcotics, PC 3455 - Post Release Community Supervision violation.
LOCATION: Third St / Tippecanoe St, Highland
SUSPECT: Jesse Soto, 22 years old, resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY:
Deputy Strand from the Highland Sheriff's Station conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Jesse Soto for vehicle code violations. Strand determined Soto was a previously convicted felon, who was currently out on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS / Felony Probation) for felony evading a peace officer. He had two active felony arrest warrants for PC 29800(a) - Felon in possession of firearm and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
A search of Soto's vehicle revealed a loaded semi-automatic handgun that was concealed. Deputies contacted the registered owner of the firearm and determined the firearm had been stolen from of the City of Inglewood.
Soto was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded stolen firearm, possession of a firearm with narcotics, PRCS violation and two felony warrants.
