UPDATE: Vaccine Eligibility List Expanded

Town of Danville Update:  2/19/21

County Announces Vaccination Eligibility Changes

On February 18, 2021, Contra Costa Health Services announced a change to its COVID-19 vaccine eligibility policy to extend eligibility to residents who work in education, childcare, and the food and agriculture industries. The change brings those essential workers into Phase 1B of the state’s vaccination plan.

Information on the vaccination plan can be found at https://www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/vaccine

Residents in those groups, as well as those 65 and older can sign up to access state and federal sites through myturn.ca.gov or calling 1-833-422-4255.  More information on the county’s COVID-19 response can be found at www.cchealth.org/coronavirus

County Library Launches Wi-Fi Hotspot Lending

As a means of helping students and workers struggling with the challenge of remote work or distance learning, the Contra Costa County Library is offering Wi-Fi hotspots for checkout. The hotspots would allow users to connect up to 10 of their devices to the internet for use for work or school.

Patrons must have a valid library card in order to check out a hotspot.  The lending period is 21 days, and hotspots can be renewed as long as there is no waitlist.  To check out a hotspot, go to www.ccclib.org  or contact staff at any community library.
