City of New Port Richey Intersection of Congress St & Indiana Ave Traffic Pattern Change 
New Port Richey, Florida – The New Port Richey Public Works Department will convert the existing two-way stop at the crossroads of Indiana Avenue and Congress Street to a four-way stop.
You may notice the message boards on Congress Street both north and south of the intersection notifying drivers of the potential changes. The traffic pattern change will be implemented on Friday, February 26, 2021.
As a reminder Florida Statute 316.123 states: At a four-way stop intersection, the driver of the first vehicle to stop at the intersection shall be the first to proceed. If two or more vehicles reach the four-way stop intersection at the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left shall yield the right-of-way to the vehicle on the right.
