SUMMARY: On Monday, February 15, 2021, Fontana deputies found an unoccupied stolen vehicle in a parking lot near North Cedar Avenue and West Foothill Boulevard in Rialto. The stolen vehicle was a gray Honda Accord which was stolen the same day from Moreno Valley. Guerrero was contacted in the area and, through investigation, was determined to be the person who possessed the vehicle. Further investigation showed he committed the original vehicle theft in Moreno Valley.
During a search of a nearby hotel room, Guerrero was found with numerous stolen identification cards, driver's license, credit cards, paperwork containing the personal identifying information of other people, and controlled substances. Guerrero was booked into West Valley Detention Center for possessing the stolen vehicle. Deputy Smoot later contacted multiple victims of theft and determined Guerrero should not have had their personal information.
