Original Message 2/23/21 7:30a - Teton County Road & Levee Division has issued a No Unnecessary Travel advisory for all County-maintained roads in Teton County due to high wind, drifting snow, and significant winter driving conditions.

This advisory is not for all roads in Teton County, but all County-maintained roads. These include, but are not limited to, South Park Loop Rd, Buffalo Valley Rd, Alta Ski Hill Rd, Moulton Loop, Game Creek Rd, and many others. A list of all County Roads is attached to this email or can be found at the Teton County Road & Levee website at
Road & Levee | Teton County, WY.

No Unneccessary Travel means that the road is open but travel is not recommended due to hazardous driving conditions. Generally, this advisory is posted during winter months due to extremely icy conditions, when visibility is limited due to blowing snow, or when a combinations of conditions makes travel ill-advised.

Only the most urgent of situations should warrant travel in a No Unnecessary Travel advisory. Drivers who attempt such travel should be familiar with local conditions and be very experienced with winter driving.

Please keep in mind that by choosing to travel during hazardous conditions, you may be interfering with maintenance personnel and their efforts to improve highway safety.

Please do not call 9-1-1 for road condition questions or updates. If you have questions concerning County-maintained roads in Teton County, call Teton County Road & Levee at 307-733-7190.
