The Ridgefield Police Department is hiring Crossing Guards.

Candidates for the position of Crossing Guard in New Jersey must possess the following qualifications:

-Is a citizen and resident of the State,

-Is sound in body and of good health,

-Is of good moral character,

-Has not been convicted of any criminal offence involving moral turpitude,

-Good Physical Condition, including sight, hearing, and ability to move and maneuver quickly in order to avoid danger from errant vehicles, and

-Ability to communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly and courteously.

Crossing guards work approximately 20 hrs a week, regardless of weather conditions. If interested, applications can be picked up at the Ridgefield Police Department, located at 604 Broad Avenue.
