Residential Burglary 
On Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at approximately 12:00 AM Middleton officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Heather Road for the report of a burglary in progress. When the homeowner entered the residence, he confronted the suspect who then fled.
Officers quickly arrived on scene, established a perimeter, and located the suspect nearby. The investigating officers found items in the suspect’s possession that linked him to the crime. Stephen J. Mixer, 36, of Middleton was subsequently arrested and has been jailed on a tentative charge of burglary.
