City of Davis - Attempted Sexual Assault
On Thursday, March 4, 2021, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the Davis Police Department responded to a report of an attempted sexual assault that occurred at an apartment complex located in the 1600 block of Drew Circle. According to the female resident, she was in her apartment when a person was observed at her rear sliding glass door asking for a drink of water. The female went into the bedroom to retrieve a face covering and when she returned, the suspect had already made entry into her apartment. The suspect attempted to pull the female into a rear bedroom however she was able to scream and push him out of her apartment. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction. Officers arrived and checked the area but were not able to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as an African-American male in his 40s, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, 170 pounds, with no facial hair, wearing a black head covering, black sweatshirt, and carrying a maroon water bottle. The Davis Police Department is investigating this incident and is urging anyone with information to call 530-747-5400.
