City of Ripon to begin taking registration for select sports
The California Department of Public Health has released new guidance for recreational sports. This guidance allows for most sports to begin once San Joaquin County reaches a threshold of 14 new COVID-19 cases a day per 100,000 residents. As of March 2, 2021, San Joaquin County is at 11.6 new COVID-19 cases a day per 100,000 residents.
The City of Ripon is planning to begin taking registration for the following recreation programs:
Tennis – registration started March 1, 2021
Baseball/Softball/Tee ball –registration planned to start March 8, 2021
Soccer – registration planned to start March 29, 2021
Flag Football – to be determined

Additionally, the City of Ripon will begin issuing a limited number of field rental permits at Mistlin Sports Park, Stouffer Park, and the Community Center for youth sports that comply with the state youth sports guidelines.
