False Public Alarm Arrest

LOCATION: Hwy 35 Ocean Township
NARRATIVE: On March 5, 2021 at approximately 0819 hours, Ocean Township Police Dispatch received a call from a male advising that there was an armed bank robbery in progress at the Wells Fargo Bank on Hwy 35. Officers responded to both Wells Fargo Banks located on Hwy 35 which yielded negative results. All of the banks in Ocean Township were checked, and none reported any issues.
The ensuing investigation revealed a suspect, Tyshaun Clayton. Mr. Clayton, was located and was ultimately charged with this incident as well as a similar incident from July 2020. He was processed and released on a summons pending a future court appearance.
