Woman Who Shot Her Boyfriend In The Neck Captured By SHERIFF VICTOR HILL’S Elite Panther Unit
On February 27, 2021, the Clayton County Police Department responded to a call in reference to a person injured on Charleston Ct. in Jonesboro. Upon arrival, officers made contact the mother of the victim. Yearby was inside of her car with her son/the victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was taken into surgery. The mother of the victim told PD Officers that the victim’s girlfriend, Lakeidrea Pinckney called her and advised her to come pick her son up. Pinckney did not provide her any further information, but said her son had been shot and sounded distressed.
Later on in the day, a search warrant was executed on Charleston Ct where the shooting took place. Detectives located a large pool of blood on the master bedroom floor which appeared to go into the bathroom, the kitchen, and then out the front door.
On March 3rd, 2021, the victim gave a statement to Detectives that he was hanging out with friends in the apartment above his, and when he came back down, an argument between him and Pinkney began. The victim advised that he was walking away when he felt pain in his neck. The victim was shot twice in the neck and ear area, and a bullet passed through his torso causing part of his lung to have to be removed during surgery.
Clayton County Police took out warrants for Aggravated Assault/Attempted Murder for Pinckney which were turned over to the Sheriff’s Office to execute. Sheriff Victor Hill ordered an immediate manhunt for Pinckney and called in his Panther/Stalking Unit to initiate the hunt. Members of the elite team with assistance from the Fugitive Squad tracked Pinckney to a location in DeKalb County where she was taken into custody without incident.
Pinckney is now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail better known to all as “The Hill-ton”.
