Sexual Assault of a Child 
On March 4, 2021 the Middleton Police Department received information that a former Middleton resident had been sexually assaulting and showing pornographic images to a 15-year-old child over the course of the past eight months. The suspect and victim knew each other.
After collecting evidence and conducting further investigation, Middleton detectives arrested 53-year-old Brian R. Henige of Mount Horeb. Henige was booked into Dane County Jail on charges of Sexual Assault of a Child, Repeated Acts of Sexual Assault of the Same Child, and Exposing a Child to Harmful Material. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
