SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

Update on the Kaupakalua Dam. Water levels are holding steady. Maui County is asking residents to remain vigilant as rains are predicted overnight and the area remains in a flash flood watch, and could be upgraded if conditions warrant. Maui County is requesting that evacuated residents remain out of the area until assessment of conditions and damages can be made in the morning. Paia Center shelter will be open overnight, Eddie Tam and Hana shelters are closed. mauicounty.gov
