The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Douglas County in southwestern Missouri... Ozark County in southwestern Missouri... Webster County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 100 PM CST Saturday.

* At 1259 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marshfield, Ava, Rogersville, Seymour, Fordland, Gainesville, Diggins and Bakersfield. This includes the following low water crossings... Route FF at Hunter Creek east of Ava, Highway 181 at Bryant Creek northeast of Sycamore, Route Y at Cowskin Creek 3 miles west of Ava, Route FF at Turkey Creek east of Ava, Route U at Bryant Creek northwest of Brushyknob, Route T at Possum Walk Creek 6 miles south of Gainesville and Highway 95 at Bryant Creek just east of Rockbridge.

Instructions:

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
