The City of Windom is declaring a Snow Emergency
The City of Windom is declaring a Snow Emergency starting midnight (12 a.m.) Sunday, March 14, 2021 until noon (12 p.m.) Monday, March 15, 2021. Snow plowing operations will commence after 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
During a snow emergency, vehicles and trailers must remain off City streets. This snow emergency is in effect until noon Monday, or until we completely plow your street of snow. Once your street is cleared of snow, you may park there. Parking is not allowed in City of Windom alleys at any time year around.
Vehicles parked in the City of Windom streets and alleys will be ticketed and may be towed beginning at midnight until noon, unless your street has been completely plowed. In the downtown area of the Windom square, no parking year around from 2 a.m. until 6 a.m. Signs are posted designating that area.
The public may park in the designated municipal parking lots only. No later than six hours after the completion of the snow emergency, you must remove any vehicle or trailer parked in the municipal parking lots, so that we can plow them.
