Suspects arrested after early morning burglary in Larkspur
Early this morning, March 15th at 1:43 a.m., officers responded to a reported burglary in progress at the Village Peddler bike shop in downtown Larkspur. The owner said he had video surveillance at the store with a live feed and he could see subjects inside stealing bicycles. He gave a description of the suspect’s white van and said it left the store heading south on Magnolia Avenue. Officers saw the van just minutes later as it traveled east on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. They stopped the van in the Bon Air Center parking lot and detained the two occupants. A search of the van produced seven bicycles from Village Peddler as well as a saw, crowbar, and other tools. The bikes ranged in price from $2500 to $5500, for total value $29,000.
Douglas Rivas, 37, of Vallejo and Victor Blanco Dionisio, 39, of no fixed address, were arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy to commit a crime. They were booked at Marin County Jail
