Victor Marin was arrested on a felony warrant for vehicle theft & Kevin Chastain for possession of a stolen vehicle

LOCATION: Corey Lane & Enoch Avenue, Yucaipa
SUSPECTS: Kevin Chastain, 28-year-old resident of Beaumont
Victor Marin, 26-year-old resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at approximately 1:15 p.m. Yucaipa deputies went to the area of Corey Lane/Enoch Avenue to arrest Victor Marin for an outstanding felony warrant for vehicle theft. The neighborhood has seen an influx of recovered stolen vehicles and Marin has been arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle in the past.
Marin was contacted along with Kevin Chastain. Chastain was found to be in possession of a vehicle key fob for a Lincoln. An area check located a Lincoln parked approximately one block away and was found to be an unreported stolen vehicle out of Riverside.
Chastain was arrested and booked for possession of a stolen vehicle and Marin was arrested for his outstanding felony warrant. Chastain is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
