The Los Altos Police Department will resume parking enforcement in April after a prolonged pause due to the pandemic. 
 
Residents
Unless otherwise designated, most Downtown parking spots have a two to three-hour limit. To avoid unnecessary parking tickets, follow the posted parking regulations. If you're unsure, please refer to the downtown parking map, where time limits for parking spots are clearly posted. 
 
Downtown Businesses
Downtown business owners and employees can purchase an annual parking permit to avoid parking tickets. Vehicles with a valid 2021 permit displayed should park in spaces marked with a white dot located in the North and South Parking Plazas. Permitted cars in these spaces will not be subject to the time limit. To purchase a parking permit, please visit www.losaltosca.gov/downtownparking.
