Detectives served a search warrant and arrested Scott Nelms for possession of child pornography

INCIDENT: PC 311.11 (A) – Possession of Child Pornography
LOCATION: 9100 Block of Lomita Court
SUSPECT: Scott Nelms, 28-years-old of Rancho Cucamonga
Summary:
On March 3, 2021, detectives from the Rancho Cucamonga Station received information regarding suspected child pornography being uploaded and distributed using a social networking website. Upon investigation, detectives found a series of pornographic images that included children engaged in sexual activity, and explicit conversations the suspect was having with minors.
Detectives determined the IP address belonged to a residence in the 9100 block of Lomita Court and identified the suspect as Scott Nelms through the email address he was using on the website.
On March 18, 2021, detectives served a search warrant at the residence and seized several electronic devices, memory cards and a video tape belonging to Nelms. Nelms was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center where he is being held on $25,000 bail.
