Missing Person: Jorge Alberto Mendoza, 40 years old, Hispanic male adult, 5'7, 175 lbs, black hair, brown eyes

On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, Jorge Mendoza was located.

On Friday, March 19th, 2021, Jorge Alberto Ortiz Mendoza was reported missing. The reporting party said Jorge left their residence, located in Avenal CA, at about 0630 hours on the 7th of March, 2021. Jorge was last seen driving a gray 2000 GMC Sierra 1500, California License Plate 6W75525. Jorge told the reporting party he would be going to Kettleman City, CA to pick up breakfast. Jorge did not return home and has been missing since. The reporting party stated Jorge received a call about a week prior to Jorge going missing, where someone told Jorge “Where’s the drug load”. The reporting party was worried after the call because Jorge became scared.

Jorge’s vehicle has been spotted in the San Pablo area and the Modesto area since his disappearance. Jorge does not have access to a cellphone nor any form of identification. Jorge is also known to use many alias. Through investigation, the Avenal Police Department has received vague and contradicting statements from subjects close to Jorge. Jorge is reported to be alive and well from these same subjects, however when Officers request to see Jorge in person, Jorge does not appear.

The totality of the circumstances have caused Jorge’s disappearance to be classified as Suspicious Circumstance/At Risk.
