Homicide Suspect In-Custody 
The Ontario Police Department has arrested a subject believed to be responsible for a homicide, which occurred in the state of Maryland on March 11, 2021. This was a joint effort with the United States Marshals Service.
On March 11, Tre Thomas Wilburn, a 28-year-old male, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Gold Mine Saloon in Waldorf, MD. Maurice Alexander Prout, a 26-year-old male from Goldsboro, NC, was identified as the suspect and detectives from the Charles County Sheriff’s Office obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On March 17, 2021, Prout was arrested after leaving a motel in the 200 block of North Vineyard Ave. Prout was booked at West Valley Detention Center on the charge of murder and is awaiting extradition to Maryland.
