Deputies responded to a traffic collision near the intersection of Hesperia Road and Terra Linda Street

SUMMARY:
On Thursday, March 25, 2021, at approximately 11:59 am, deputies from the Victorville Station, and rescue personnel from the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision near the intersection of Hesperia Road and Terra Linda Street in the city of Victorville. Upon arrival, deputies located four pedestrians, who were working construction at the location, suffering from multiple injuries. Deputies determined the vehicle and driver were traveling north on Hesperia Road, when the vehicle drifted off the roadway and struck the victims. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, another was transported via helicopter to Antelope Valley Medical Center and the two remaining victims were transported via ambulance to local hospitals. The driver cooperated with investigators on scene and the incident is under investigation.
Hesperia Road from Green Tree Boulevard and Ottawa Street were closed for several hours while deputies from the Victorville Station Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) conducted the investigation.
