* At 701 PM CDT, doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm producing a tornado was located over Ashport, or 9 miles east of Luxora, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
* Locations impacted include... Ripley, Halls, Gates, Papaw Ridge, Porter Gap, Edith, Dryhill, Curve, Double Bridges, Flippin, Nankipoo, Stinger, Lightfoot, Tiger Tail, Arp and Chickasaw National Wildlife Refuge.
