Flash Flood Warning until 04:00AM Wednesday

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Hardin County in western Tennessee... Eastern McNairy County in western Tennessee...

* Until 400 AM CDT.

* At 1204 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Doppler radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Savannah, Pickwick Landing State Park, Adamsville, Pickwick Dam, Olive Hill, Shiloh, Walnut Grove, Morris Chapel, Crump, Michie, Saltillo, Milledgeville, Maddox, Walkertown, Phillips, Bucktown, Bruton Branch, Cerro Gordo, Lowryville and Center Star. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch is possible in the warned area.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HARDIN, TN ... MCNAIRY, TN

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
