The Township will continue to keep you informed of up to date information concerning the availability and accessibility to vaccines and updated vaccination locations.

Anyone seeking a COVID-19 vaccine is strongly encouraged to register with the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System (NJVSS): https://covidvaccine.nj.gov/ If you experience an error or need help registering with the NJVSS, you can complete an online form https://covid19.nj.gov/forms/vaccine/vss-feedback or call NJ Hotline at (855) 568-0545. Seniors aged 75 and older can call the Senior NJ COVID Call Center hotline (856) 249-7007 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily for assistance with registering, scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
 
As an increasing number of Americans are fully vaccinated, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced recent changes to their recommendations for fully vaccinated individuals. EAST WINDSOR UPDATE
 
East Windsor Township, in ongoing efforts to plan for the anticipated increase in vaccine availability, is maintaining a Covid-19 Vaccination Pre-Registration System, for local area clinics -- for Township residents 55 years of age and older and residents at risk -- who have not received or scheduled a COVID-19 vaccination appointment. MERCER COUNTY UPDATE
 
The Mercer County Department of Human Services, in partnership with the Mercer County Board of Social Services, has launched the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), to offer financial assistance toward unpaid rent or utility bills for renter households in Mercer County impacted by COVID-19. The application deadline is April 5, 2021. STATE OF NEW JERSEY UPDATE
 
Governor Murphy signed Executive Order No. 234 on March 29, effective Friday April 2, Increasing Gathering Limits as follows: https://nj.gov/governor/news/news/562021/approved/20210329c.shtml
 
OUTDOOR GATHERINGS:
  • The general outdoor gathering limit will increase from 50 people to 200 people.
  • Outdoor gatherings that are religious services or ceremonies, political events, weddings, funerals or memorial services will continue to have no limit.
  • College and youth sporting events will be permitted up to 200 spectators if he outdoor venue can accommodate appropriate social distancing. 
LARGE VENUES:
  • Venues, including sports and entertainment venues, with a seating capacity of 2,500 or more will be permitted to host events at 20 percent capacity indoors and 30 percent capacity outdoors, excluding participants, such as athletes and performers, and staff, such as coaches and ushers.
  • All attendees at the event must remain six feet apart, except those individuals who purchase or reserve tickets together may be seated together. Masks are required, except when eating or drinking.
CATERED EVENTS:
  • The Order clarifies that banquet halls and similar dining establishments and venues using a licensed caterer can host indoor celebrations and other private catered events at 35 percent of the room’s capacity, up to 150 persons.

New Jersey has extended through May 28 the application deadline for small business PPE discounts, through the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's Small and Micro Businesses Person Protective Equipment (PPE) Access Program.
 
Mercer County has reported, as of March 31, 2021, there have been 122 new cases for a total of 28,849 confirmed COVID-19 Cases to date, and a total, sadly, of 864 deaths in Mercer County. All active cases are either at home self-isolating or admitted to the hospital. The State of New Jersey today reported 4,586 additional Confirmed COVID-19 Cases for a current total of 799,391 cases, and 44 additional deaths for a total of 21,993 COVID-19 related deaths statewide.
