Probation officers & deputies conducted a compliance check & arrested Richard Samuido for several criminal violations

DATE/TIME: March 30, 2021 / 5:34 p.m.

INCIDENT: Addict in Possession of Firearm, Felon in Possession of Firearm, Child Endangerment, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Prohibited Person in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a High Capacity Magazine, Violation of Probation

LOCATION: 12200 block of Gladys Lane, Yucaipa

SUSPECT: Richard Samuido, 42 years old, resident of Yucaipa

SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at approximately 5:34 p.m., deputies assisted San Bernardino County Probation officers conduct a probation compliance check on Richard Samuido. Samuido is currently on felony probation for being a drug addict in possession of a firearm. Probation officers located Samuido inside of the garage of his residence and he was detained without incident.

Deputies and probation officers conducted a probation compliance search of Samuido’s residence. Deputies and probation officers located two un-serialized / unregistered semi-automatic pistols (polymer 80), a Glock high capacity magazine, three additional pistol magazines and several different calibers of ammunition. Plastic baggies containing suspected methamphetamine were also located. The firearms and suspected methamphetamine were accessible to Samuido’s three children who reside at the residence with him.

Samuido was arrested for felon in possession of firearm, child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance for sale, addict in possession of firearm, violation of probation, a prohibited person in possession of ammunition and possession of a high capacity magazine. He was booked at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
